Her principal area of study for her Masters of Education was educational psychology. This lifetime of learning and experience ensures that Kingsgrove Music provides a supportive, nurturing environment for teachers, students and their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bronwyn-Jane &#8220;Bronnie&#8221; Hammond<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" src=\"http:\/\/kingsgrovemusic.net.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Bronnie-headshot-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"[img] Bronwyn-Jane &quot;Bronnie&quot; Hammond\" class=\"wp-image-134\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kingsgrovemusic.net.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Bronnie-headshot-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/kingsgrovemusic.net.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Bronnie-headshot.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Bronnie\u2019s music studies commenced formally at the age of 6. Whilst her first instrument was violin, Bronnie also excelled at piano.&nbsp; She studied with <strong>The Conservatorium Access Program<\/strong> before attending the <strong>Conservatorium of Music High School<\/strong> for years 7 to 9.&nbsp; In year 10, Bronnie transferred to <strong>St Andrew&#8217;s Cathedral School<\/strong> as a music scholar where she had the opportunity to participate in a European music tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her performance experience includes numerous musicals, Showcase Performances at Angel Place, and lunchtime concerts in St Andrew&#8217;s Cathedral.&nbsp; She has also performed in various choirs,&nbsp; symphony and chamber orchestras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bronnie holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical Performance (Violin) and a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education. She also holds a Certificate III in Children\u2019s Services and therefore has the knowledge and skills to facilitate learning of children from 0 to age 12. &nbsp;Bronnie has demonstrated a talent for working with children with special needs and has recently undertaken an introductory course in AUSLAN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2011, Bronnie was appointed as the inaugural conductor for the <strong>Southern Sydney Youth Music Association<\/strong>, an initiative supported by a grant from the Arts Council and which gave the ensemble students the opportunity to perform in a concert at the Sydney Opera House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Chris Turner<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" src=\"http:\/\/kingsgrovemusic.net.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Chris-headshot-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"[img] Chris Turner\" class=\"wp-image-136\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kingsgrovemusic.net.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Chris-headshot-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/kingsgrovemusic.net.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Chris-headshot.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Chris\u2019 music studies commenced at an early age. His first instrument was violin and is an instrument for which he maintains an enduring passion.&nbsp; Piano soon followed and Chris rapidly excelled.&nbsp; In later years, Chris ventured into saxophone and guitar, and continues to experiment with a variety of instruments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chris studied with <strong>The Conservatorium Access Program<\/strong> before becoming a music scholar at <strong>St Andrew&#8217;s Cathedral School<\/strong>.&nbsp; It was during his years at St Andrews that Chris undertook two European music tours, as well as performing in school productions of <em>Guys and Dolls<\/em>, <em>The Pirates of Penzance<\/em>, <em>Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/em>, and John English\u2019s opera <em>Paris<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chris\u2019 university program included undergraduate study in Music, Criminology and Psychology.&nbsp; He subsequently completed a graduate LLB. &nbsp;During his time at university, Chris was a member of the <strong>University of NSW<\/strong> orchestra, and Concert Master of the Macquarie University orchestra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chris was awarded the <strong>Simon Tedeschi prize for Musical Excellence<\/strong>.&nbsp; He was awarded first place in the 2015 <strong>Ryde Eisteddfod<\/strong> in both the solo violin and violin duo categories. Chris has also excelled academically receiving the NSW Bar Association Prize for Indigenous Law and the Macquarie Law School Prize for Litigation.
